Software Testing
Testing either at a bench test or at the site after construction all hardware and software in a specific system to the validate design.Control System Design Engineer
Conduct all phases from concept thru design and complete responsibilities with successful commissioning of the system.PROJECT: Gas Compressor Control Logic Upgrade Project• As part of the development cycle for the upgraded control logic design and operator graphics, conducted extensive software testing to prove this design would work in the real world. Used other controllers to simulate the real world process parameters.
PROJECT: Hydrogen Sulfide Incinerator Replacement for Geothermal Generation• Successfully fully bench tested a logic design and software with a completely integrated system containing two PLC's and two PanelView operator consoles.
PROJECT: Simultaneous Restoration of Two Biomass Power Plants• Built and tested the newly designed Fuel Master control logic in both ladder logic and block logic formats (e.g., the PIDE block). Performed a complete bench test of this logic prior to its installation on the unit.
Process/Controls Troubleshooting Engineer
Conduct assessment evaluations on plant processes and/or control systems typically to determine operational problems.PROJECT: State Prison Solar Turbines (2) Maintenance Services• Used the A/B RSLogix 5 & Emulate 5 to model the software lockup problems found in the gas turbine control ladder logic. Found and corrected numeous software design issues resulting from improper PID control and over-ride logic.

Safely and within all environmental compliance laws, successfully complete scope, schedule, and costs of a project.PROJECT: DCS Upgrade Project• Coordinated, managed, and directly participated in the major Distributed Control System (DCS) upgrade Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for a complete boiler, turbine/generator, BMS, and balance of plant software controls.
